Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information PaycheckSmart does and does not collect. In short: the calculators run entirely in your browser, and we never receive or store the pay figures you enter.

Information you enter

The numbers you type into a calculator — your pay, filing status, deductions — are processed locally in your browser to compute your result. They are not transmitted to us or stored on a server. Closing the tab discards them.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs, in aggregate. This does not include the contents of your calculations.

Cookies & advertising

PaycheckSmart displays advertising to remain free. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our sites and/or other sites on the internet.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA (California), such as the right to access or delete personal data. Because we do not collect personal information through the calculators, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or delete, but you can contact us with any request.

Children's privacy

PaycheckSmart is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date below.
